Two friends, Slip and Sach, lose their jobs at a laundry company after damaging a delivery truck. They convince Louie to let them open a laundromat in the back room of his Malt Shop. Meanwhile, a woman named Laura secretly leaves her baby at the launderette to hide him from her overbearing aunts, who are trying to gain control of her late uncle's estate. The aunts commit Laura to a sanitarium and offer a $25,000 reward for the baby's return. However, when the baby is discovered by Slip and Sach, they become embroiled in a complex web of deceit and greed.
