William Wright, a renowned American film actor, was born on January 5, 1911, and would go on to achieve significant popularity during the 1940s, earning comparisons to the illustrious Clark Gable, whose career was temporarily interrupted by World War II.
Wright's impressive filmography includes a 1945 musical comedy remake of It Happened One Night, titled Eve Knew Her Apples, in which he played the role originally portrayed by Gable.
