Tsao Kuan-hsing, a Taiwanese actor of remarkable talent, is widely recognized for his captivating portrayal of Akira in the 2014 sports film Kano. Prior to his successful debut in the acting world, Tsao had a distinguished career as a professional baseball player, representing Chinese Taipei in numerous international tournaments.
Among his impressive achievements as a baseball player, Tsao won the Best Supporting Actor award at the 2014 Taipei Film Festival for his outstanding performance as Akira, and was subsequently nominated for Best New Performer at the 51st Golden Horse Awards.
In addition to his accomplishments on the baseball field, Tsao also participated in several notable international competitions, including the 2014 U-23 Baseball World Cup, the 2015 Universiade, the Asian Baseball Championship, and the World Port Tournament.
In 2017, Tsao made the decision to leave the Chinese Taipei team and dedicate himself full-time to his acting career. Since then, he has appeared in a variety of dramas, including Befriend in 2018 and Triad Princess in 2019.
