Timothy David Olyphant, born on May 20, 1968, is a talented American actor who has made a significant impact in the entertainment industry.
Olyphant's acting career began in 1995 with an off-Broadway theater production of The Monogamist, for which he received the Theatre World Award. He then originated David Sedaris' The Santaland Diaries in 1996.
He transitioned to film, often taking on supporting roles, particularly as villains, in films such as Scream 2 (1997),Go (1999),A Man Apart (2003),Gone in 60 Seconds (2000),and The Girl Next Door (2004).
Olyphant's breakthrough role came with his portrayal of Sheriff Seth Bullock in HBO's western series Deadwood (2004-2006). He then appeared in films like Catch and Release (2006),Hitman (2007),A Perfect Getaway (2009),and The Crazies (2010).
In 2007, he played the main antagonist, Thomas Gabriel, in Live Free or Die Hard. He continued to take on various roles in films and television, including a brief cameo in The Good Place (2020),where he parodied his Justified character.
Olyphant also guest-starred in season 10 of Curb Your Enthusiasm, as well as in the fourth season of Fargo and the second season of The Mandalorian, specifically in the episode "Chapter 9: The Marshal."
