Tamara Brown is a multifaceted Canadian performer who has made a significant impact on the stage and screen, as well as behind the scenes, through her work as a singer, director, and educator.
Notably, in 2010, Tamara co-founded Metachroma Theatre, a groundbreaking independent English-language company comprised of professional actors of colour, making it the only organization of its kind in the city.
Metachroma Theatre's mission is to address the long-standing issue of under-representation of visible minority actors in Canadian Theatre, which has perpetuated a lack of diversity on stage.
