Sybil Lines, also known as Marion Lines, pursued her passion for the performing arts by attending the prestigious Central School of Speech and Drama in London. This esteemed institution laid the foundation for her illustrious career, which would soon take her to the esteemed Royal Shakespeare Company. During her two-year tenure with this renowned company, Sybil had the privilege of working alongside the incomparable Dame Judi Dench and the accomplished director, John Barton.
As her career continued to flourish, Sybil made her mark on the Broadway stage, appearing in notable productions such as Bedroom Farce alongside the talented John Lithgow, Waiting in the Wings with the legendary Lauren Bacall, and Lettice & Lovage with the iconic Dame Maggie Smith.
In addition to her Broadway credits, Sybil has also made a significant impact on the Off-Broadway scene, with performances at prominent venues such as Manhattan Theatre Club, Roundabout, Pearl, and La Mama. Her impressive repertoire of theatre credits extends far beyond New York City, with major roles at esteemed institutions throughout the United States, including the Pasadena Playhouse, Princeton, Goodman in Chicago, South Coast Rep., Seattle's ART, and Michael Kahn's Shakespeare Theatre in Washington D.C.
Sybil's screen credits are equally impressive, with roles in productions for the BBC and in films such as Murder She Wrote, Mickey Blue Eyes, and the recurring role of villainous Libby Webster in the soap-opera Edge of Night.
As a respected member of the theatrical community, Sybil also shares her expertise by teaching at Circle in the Square Theatre School during the summer months, passing on her knowledge and experience to the next generation of performers.
