Ninochka Manoug Kupelian, professionally known as Lebleba, is an Egyptian film actor and entertainer of Armenian descent. Born to a life of mimicry, she began by mocking actors, unaware that her talent would one day be discovered by the renowned entrepreneur "Ma'allem Seddeek", who would present her to the esteemed "Al-masrah al-kawmy", or The National Theater, where she would rise to fame through her stand-up comedies.
The doors of cinema soon swung open, and Lebleba landed small roles alongside Anwar Wagdy and Hassan al-Seify. It was Abul-So'oud al-Ebiaary who bestowed upon her the iconic stage name Lebleba, which translates to "The eloquent", after witnessing her exceptional talent as a child actor, comedian, and dancer.
Lebleba's personal life saw her tie the knot with actor Hassan Youssef, only to later divorce and remain unmarried for the remainder of her life. Her professional journey continued to flourish, as she collaborated with renowned Egyptian comedian Adel Emaam on numerous projects.
Lebleba's directorial endeavors yielded two notable roles in Aatef al-Tayyeb's films, "Dedd al-hokouma" and "Layla saakhena", earning her widespread recognition and accolades. As she matured as an artist, Lebleba took on more mature roles, including that of a mother in Chahine's "Al-aakhar" and a prostitute in "Gannat al-shayaateen", showcasing her impressive range as an actress.
