Gökçen Gökçebag, a talented individual with a rich background in the performing arts, earned his degree from Bilkent University Faculty of Music and Performing Arts in 2002.
Following his academic pursuits, Gökçebag worked as an intern artist for Adana State Theater in 2005, honing his skills and gaining valuable experience in the industry.
In 2008, he took a significant step by moving to New York and pursuing his Master's degree in Acting from The New School for Drama. This prestigious institution provided him with a platform to further develop his craft and network with like-minded individuals.
During his time in New York, Gökçebag had the opportunity to work with renowned theaters, including La Mama, a prominent institution in the city's vibrant theater scene.
After returning to Turkey, Gökçebag co-starred in Sahan Gökbakar's mainstream movie "Celal ile Ceren", showcasing his versatility as an actor.
He has also made significant contributions to the world of theater, performing in a variety of productions, including "Derme Çatma Hamlet", "Kuslar Meclisi", and "Sahne Denilen Büyülü Kutu".
In addition to his work in film and theater, Gökçebag has also appeared in several television series, including "Not Defteri", "Askin Kanunu", and "Sehrin Melekleri".
Currently, he is working with Talimhane Tiyatrosu, a prominent theater company in Turkey, on the productions "Yoldan Çikan Oyun" and "Baba ve Piç".
Furthermore, Gökçebag has also ventured into directing, adapting the movie "Cheap Thrills" into a successful theater play with the same name.
