Emma Costantino, later known as Schürer, was born in Naples, Italy. She embarked on a glamorous career as a model, gracing the covers of renowned publications like Vogue and Harper's Bazaar. Her transition to the stage was seamless, as she made her debut at the esteemed Piccolo Teatro, under the direction of the illustrious Giorgio Strehler.
As her career progressed, Schürer secured secondary roles, but it was her breakthrough performance in Alberto Cavallone's Le salamandre that catapulted her to stardom. This success led to a contract with Alberto Grimaldi, and she went on to star in numerous genre films between 1969 and 1977. During this period, she remained a prominent figure on the Italian theatre scene, collaborating with esteemed directors such as Ugo Gregoretti, Garinei & Giovannini, and Mario Missiroli.
In addition to her film and theatre work, Schürer also appeared in various television series and shows, including the popular programs Domenica insieme and Sereno variabile.
