Emma's remarkable journey in the entertainment industry began at the tender age of 17 when she landed her first professional role, Needle, a production written by Jimmy McGovern and directed by Gillies MacKinnon, in collaboration with the British Broadcasting Corporation in 1990.
With the guidance of Sally Long-Innes at ICM, now known as Independent Talent, Emma embarked on a prosperous early career in television, solidifying her presence as a series regular in the popular show Casualty in 1992.
Emma's experience and expertise expanded through her work with acclaimed director Sandra Goldbacher in the short films Seventeen, Piccadilly Circus by Night, and The Governess, alongside the talented Minnie Driver, in 1997.
Notable highlights in Emma's theatre career include her performances in The Good Hope, adapted by Lee Hall, directed by Bill Brydon, at The Royal National Theatre in 2002, as well as her roles in David Mamet's Oleanna at the Norwich Playhouse, The Woods at The Finborough Theatre, and Terms of Abuse by Jessica Townsend at Hampstead Theatre, among others.
