Daniel pursued his degree in Liberal Arts at the University of North Texas, marking the beginning of his academic journey. This educational foundation laid the groundwork for his future endeavors, as he subsequently relocated to New York to further his knowledge and skills in the realm of acting and directing.
At the prestigious Stella Adler Studio of Acting, Circle in the Square Theater School, and Atlantic Theater Company, Daniel delved deeper into his craft, honing his abilities under the guidance of renowned instructors. Moreover, he continued to refine his skills in directing and writing by studying with the esteemed Columbia MFA Grad professor, Jon Shear, and in acting with the accomplished Royal Shakespeare Company Alumni, Sybil Lines.
Daniel's impressive portfolio of work includes his second screenplay, When Hearts Run Wild, which garnered the attention of renowned producer John D Schofield, responsible for notable films such as Jerry Maguire and As Good As It Gets. Additionally, his scuba diving show, HD Undersea, was optioned by five international networks, and a series about wine was also in development.
In 2013, Daniel's short film, Rambler, garnered widespread acclaim, winning a dozen film awards and later being developed into a 10-episode series. Two of his plays, Love in Kilnerry and The Breaking Room, were work-shopped at the esteemed Manhattan Theater Club studios in NYC, providing a platform for his creative vision to flourish.
Daniel's exceptional talent was further recognized when he was accepted into the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts summer residency in London for two consecutive years. This honor served as a testament to his dedication and passion for his craft.
In 2021, Daniel brought his vision to life by completing his first feature film, Love in Kilnerry, a $1.2 million production that he wrote, produced, directed, and starred in. This ambitious project went on to win an impressive 45 international film awards and 26 nominations, cementing Daniel's status as a talented and accomplished filmmaker.
