A novice angel is dispatched back to Earth and partners with a former detective to assist individuals in need.
Jonathan Smith, a probationary angel, is sent back to Earth to help people. He meets Mark Gordon, a former policeman, and helps him reform. Mark becomes Jonathan's right-hand associate, and together they travel the country as itinerant workers, receiving assignments from God to deliver love, understanding, and humility to those they encounter.
