Michele Dominguez Greene was born on February 3, 1962, in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. She is an American actress, singer, and songwriter, best known for her role as Abigail "Abby" Perkins in the popular television series L.A. Law, which she played from 1986 to 1991. Greene returned to the role in 2002 for the TV reunion film L.A. Law: The Movie.
Greene developed a passion for acting after enrolling in a high school drama class, which she took to overcome her extreme shyness. She was accepted into the Bachelor of Fine Arts program at the University of Southern California, where she began her formal training as an actor. During her college years, she started working in television, appearing in numerous guest shots and television movies.
After graduating, Greene landed the ensemble role of "Judy Nuckles" in the short-lived Steven Bochco series Bay City Blues. When the show was cancelled, Bochco offered her the role of Abby Perkins on L.A. Law. The show was a critical and commercial success, winning many Emmys and earning Greene a nomination for Best Supporting Actress. She appeared on L.A. Law for five seasons before leaving to pursue her musical career and take on new acting challenges.
Greene has also appeared in other notable television series, including the 1982 Dukes of Hazzard episode "Coy Meets Girl," where she played the role of "Bobbie Lee," a runaway orphan girl who bore a striking resemblance to Dorothy Gale from The Wizard of Oz. She has recorded two bilingual CDs, Ojo de Tiburon and Luna Roja.
In recent years, Greene has had recurring roles in popular television series such as CSI, Cold Case, Nip/Tuck, Stargate SG-1, and Bones. She also appeared in an episode of Brothers and Sisters on ABC-TV in March 2009, playing the role of the governor of California. Additionally, she has a recurring role on HBO's Big Love as a TV reporter.
