Jean Ann Ewers, also known as Eve Brent and Jean Lewis, was an American actress born on September 11, 1929, who passed away on August 27, 2011.
Eve Brent began her career in radio and early television, eventually transitioning to the college and little theater stage. In the 1950s, she moved to Hollywood with her husband and infant son, where she landed roles in several films, including Gun Girls (1957),Journey to Freedom (1957),The Bride and the Beast (1958),and episodic television appearances.
Notable director Samuel Fuller changed her name to Eve Brent when she appeared in his western film Forty Guns (1957),marking the beginning of her extensive screen career under that name. She went on to play the role of Jane opposite Gordon Scott's Tarzan in Tarzan and the Trappers (1958),Tarzan's Fight for Life (1958),and episodes of a Tarzan television series.
Throughout her career, Eve Brent appeared in hundreds of commercials, in addition to her big-screen and episodic television assignments. Later in her career, she had notable roles in The Green Mile and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.
