Captain Hugh "Bulldog" Drummond's wedding to Phyllis Clavering is thwarted when a Swiss policeman is murdered and their wedding gifts stolen, including a synthetic diamond created by Professor Bernard Goodman. Drummond suspects Sir Raymond Blantyre, head of the Metropolitan Diamond Syndicate, of being involved in the theft due to his potential losses if Professor Goodman's secret process is published. Drummond follows a trail of clues, leading him to a lonely house on the outskirts of London where he finds Goodman being held captive. With the help of his valet, Tenny, and Phyllis, Drummond must fight off Blantyre's armed confederates to escape and clear his name.
