Matthew Boulton

Matthew Boulton, a renowned British thespian, was born on January 20th, 1893, and passed away on February 10th, 1962. Throughout his illustrious career, he distinguished himself as a versatile character actor, frequently taking on the roles of authority figures such as police officers and military officers. Initially, he established himself in the world of theatre, where he honed his craft and built a reputation as a talented performer. As his reputation grew, he began to transition into film, making his cinematic debut in the 1930s with an appearance in Alfred Hitchcock's 1936 thriller, Sabotage. His talent and dedication to his craft eventually led him to make the bold decision to emigrate to Hollywood, where he continued to work in the film industry for the remainder of his life. Some of his most notable American films include the 1945 mystery film, The Woman in Green, and the 1948 film noir, The Woman in White.
