Torchy befriends Jackie Maguire, girlfriend of notorious hoodlum Denver Eddie, in traffic court and gets herself sent to jail by reporting false alarms. She escapes with Maguire to San Francisco, hoping to capture Denver Eddie with police help, while her friends Steve and Gahagan follow undercover to collect a $5000 reward.
