A con artist pretends to be a mind reader, using a sidekick to feed him questions and impress a woman who becomes his secretary. However, his secrets are eventually uncovered, leading him to abandon the mind reading business and become a door-to-door salesman. He returns to his old ways, selling information to jealous wives, but his true identity is eventually revealed, leading to a dramatic confrontation and his subsequent return to clear his wife's name.
