Prairie Chickens background

Prairie Chickens

The next movie in the Roach "streamliner" series, a semi-western, stars Jimmy Rogers and Noah Beery, Jr. as two out-of-work cowhands, with a special focus on the often-screened Jack.

Two out-of-work cowhands, Jimmy and Pidge, star alongside Jimmy Rogers and Noah Beery Jr. in this semi-western. They team up with Henry Lewis Clark III, who plays a wealthy rancher coming to inspect his 35,000-acre property. However, his ranch foreman and henchmen have rustled most of the cattle, and they plan to stage a welcoming party to distract Clark. Meanwhile, Pidge is mistaken for Clark, and a tour bus full of women adds to the chaos. The group eventually converges at Clark's haunted ranch house, where they become embroiled in a long, unsuccessful attempt to scare them away.
