The Mesquiteers, Stony Brooke, Rusty Joslin, and Rico, intervene when an 1870s wagon train is attacked by Indians, killing the leader. They guide the settlers to their destination, where they find the land they purchased is worthless. The settlers work hard to clear the land, but are threatened by exorbitant taxes imposed by Judge Platt and his cronies, who plan to break the settlers and sell the land to a railroad. The Mesquiteers try to pay the taxes with a cattle sale, but Platt's gang robs them and frames them for the hold-up. The Mesquiteers, including Stony as the Masked Rider, then work to stop Platt's gang and protect the settlers.
Pioneers of the West
The next installment in the "Three Mesquiteer" series jumps back and forth in time, similar to Brick Bradford's "Time Top" machine, as Stony Brooke, Rusty Joslin, and Rico join forces to protect a 1870s wagon train.
