The Pepper family, consisting of Mrs. Pepper and her five children, has been living with wealthy businessman J.H. King and his grandson Jasper in their mansion. Polly and Jasper have developed feelings for each other, but their happiness is threatened when J.H. suffers a stroke and is unable to run his business.
