Around the World in 80 Days background

Around the World in 80 Days

In this thrilling adventure, a Victorian gentleman accepts a daring challenge to circle the globe in just 80 days, utilizing the latest steamship and railway technology.

In 1956, it was possible to circumnavigate the globe in under two days. Jules Verne's 1872 novel "Around the World in Eighty Days" predicted man could achieve this feat in 80 hours, but most considered 80 days impossible. Phileas Fogg, a regimented Englishman, accepts a 20,000-pound wager to complete the journey, unaware of cultural obstacles and a mysterious stalker. With his loyal valet Passepartout, they face numerous misadventures, leading Fogg to reevaluate the importance of winning the bet.
