Rancher Ed Sampson orders the Martin farm house burned, killing Galt Martin and leaving his eldest son, Joe, injured. The killer, Cass Becker, is later identified by Timmy Martin, and Ned East, a retired gunfighter, saves Joe from Cass's attack. Sampson then sends for Clint Jones, a fast gun, to deal with the squatters, and also dispatches three henchmen to intercept a stagecoach carrying three mail-order brides, including one intended for Joe Martin.
