A young Ensign William Adama joins the fleet, initially assigned to a freighter instead of a fighter. He teams up with co-pilot Lt. Coker Fasjovic, who's hesitant to work with a rookie. Their cargo, Dr. Becca Kelly, a civilian scientist, receives new orders and a new destination, but remains tight-lipped about her secret mission. As they venture into Cylon-controlled space, nothing is as it seems.
