Mike Dopud is a multifaceted individual, exceling in various roles, including film actor, television actor, voice actor, stuntman, stage actor, and athlete. He has gained widespread recognition for his portrayal of Detective Smits in the 2005 action-horror film White Noise, Agent Turner in the 2005 action-horror film Alone in the Dark, Vic Hadfield in the Canadian miniseries Canada Russia '72, and Michael 'The Assassin' in the 2002 film remake of Rollerball.
Throughout his career, Dopud has taken on various minor roles in popular television shows, such as Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis, where he also performed numerous stunts. He later landed a more significant role as Varro on Stargate Universe. Moreover, he was nominated for a Taurus World Stunt Award in 2005 for his impressive work in Walking Tall.
Born and raised in Montreal, Dopud is a polyglot, speaking three languages fluently: English, French, and Serbian. Prior to pursuing his acting career, he briefly played professional Canadian football for the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Dopud is married to Canadian actress Angela Schneider.
