Zinnie Harris, a multi-award winning playwright and theatre director, is now venturing into film, expanding her creative horizons. Her stage plays have garnered widespread recognition, with notable productions including FURTHER THAN THE FURTHEST THING at the Tron Theatre and Royal National Theatre, MEET ME AT DAWN at the Traverse Theatre and Edinburgh International Festival, THIS RESTLESS HOUSE at the Citizens Theatre, National Theatre of Scotland, and Edinburgh International Festival, and HOW TO HOLD YOUR BREATH at the Royal Court Theatre.
In addition to her stage work, Harris has written two 90-minute TV dramas for Channel 4, RICHARD IS MY BOYFRIEND and BORN WITH TWO MOTHERS, as well as penned episodes for the BBC1 Drama SPOOKS. As a theatre director, she has helmed numerous main stage productions for esteemed institutions such as the RSC, Traverse Theatre, Royal Lyceum Theatre, and Tron theatre.
Her impressive directing credits include the CATS 2017 award for Best Director, earned for her direction of Caryl Churchill's A NUMBER at the Lyceum Theatre, where she serves as an Associate Director. With 'A Glimpse', Harris embarks on her first short film venture, further solidifying her reputation as a versatile and innovative creative force.
