Wayne Pretlow has had the privilege of working with esteemed directors such as Jerry Zaks and the late Hal Prince, accumulating an impressive array of credits in Broadway, Off-Broadway, regional, and international theater productions. One notable highlight was his role as an original cast member in the 1999 Tony-nominated production of The Civil War. Additionally, he was part of the 2017 world premiere of Roman Holiday, which premiered in San Francisco.
In New York, Pretlow has had the opportunity to perform in numerous City Centers Encores! concerts, earning critical acclaim from the likes of Broadway World, Newsday, and The New York Times for his performance in Encores! Off-center production of Don't Bother Me I Can't Cope, directed and choreographed by Savion Glover.

Pretlow has also made appearances on various television shows, including the Rosie O'Donnell Show with the cast of the Civil War, The David Letterman Show, The Chris Rock Show, and The Dave Chappelle Show. Furthermore, he has accumulated over 100 regional and national commercial credits, including Saturn, Wendy's, Canon Copiers, Staples, and AOL. In the 1990s, Pretlow was the voice of the Sprinkle Spangle Genie, a short-lived General Mills Cereal mascot.
