Vivienne's academic journey began with her graduation from Goldsmiths College in 1977, marking the start of her professional career. Her first notable engagement was a five-year European tour with a renowned comedy troupe, which honed her skills and provided a solid foundation for her future endeavors.
As she transitioned to the London comedy scene, Vivienne found herself immersed in the vibrant atmosphere of the original comedy store and the alternative comedy scene in the early 1980s. It was during this period that she met and married her now-husband, Martin Soan, a fellow comic performer, in a union that has stood the test of time for 29 years.
Balancing her career with her family life, Vivienne devoted herself to raising her two daughters while nurturing her passion for music. Between 1988 and 2012, she showcased her exceptional saxophonist skills, performing with various Funk, Punk, and Glam rock bands in live concerts, music videos, films, and radio productions.
One of Vivienne's most notable performances was her role as a tenor saxophonist in the Kit Kat band for the Chichester Festival Theatre's stage production of Cabaret in 2002. This experience not only further solidified her reputation as a talented musician but also allowed her to contribute to the theatrical world in a unique and captivating way.
