Victor Webster is a Canadian actor born on February 7, 1973, in Calgary, Alberta. His parents, Roswitha, a hair stylist, and John ("Jack") Webster, a police officer, raised him. As a teenager, Webster often found himself in trouble due to his misbehavior, but he discovered martial arts and became a teacher, earning an undefeated record as an amateur kickboxer and a heavyweight black belt.
Webster's interest in acting was evident in his involvement with school plays and theater classes. Before pursuing acting, he worked as a stockbroker and in import/export. His early recognition came when he appeared in Cosmopolitan Magazine's "All About Men" 1998 special issue.
In the late 1990s, Webster began to focus on acting, landing a role on the NBC daytime soap opera, Days of our Lives, in 1999. This led to his casting as one of the leads in the nationally syndicated SF-action series Mutant X (2001),which ran for three seasons. In 2002, he was listed as one of People Magazine's "50 Most Eligible Bachelors".
Throughout his career, Webster has continued to alternate between television and theatrical film roles. Some of his notable appearances include the film Bringing Down the House, guest roles on TV shows such as Sex and the City, and a recurring role on the Melrose Place relaunch. He also guest-starred in the 2009 murder mystery Harper's Island and had a small role in the 2010 Tyler Perry film Why Did I Get Married Too.
In 2011, Webster had a recurring role on Castle as Kate Beckett's boyfriend, Josh Davidson. He also played the lead male vampire Stefan in the 2013 remake of 'Embrace of the Vampire'.
