The Miami-Dade Police Department's Crime Scene Investigation unit solves mysterious deaths and crimes by uncovering the underlying circumstances.
A team of investigators, led by Horatio Caine, a former homicide detective, solve crimes in the tropical city of Miami. The team consists of experts in ballistics, underwater recovery, genetics, and forensic science, as well as a coroner, legal experts, and a detective with a background in FBI and Internal Affairs.
