Vanessa Torres, a professional skateboarder, was born on July 17, 1986, in Anaheim, California. Her remarkable career has been marked by numerous achievements, including being the first woman to win X Games gold. This milestone was reached in 2003, when the X Games first featured female skateboarding competitions, with Torres taking home the top prize in the street event, then known as Park.
Torres' success continued in subsequent years, as she won silver in the X Games Street Competition in 2004. Her impressive performances did not go unnoticed, as she claimed bronze medals at the X Games in Austin in 2015 and Oslo in 2016. Additionally, she secured top-ten finishes in 2016 and 2017.
