Turkish director and screenwriter, Tufan Tastan, embarked on a creative journey during his university years by participating in the establishment of art collectives such as Sahne Disi, Kizil Davul, and Direnistesanat.
Within these structures, he delved into practical and theoretical studies on street theater, happening, and performance art, eventually taking part in numerous events in Turkey and Europe as a speaker, copywriter, director, and actor.
His written articles on culture and arts were published in various magazines and newspapers, further solidifying his presence in the arts community.
Tastan's foray into the world of cinema began with his short films Söz Uçar (2017),Vitrin (2014),Bir Kelime (2013),+Deger (2012),and Ve Jülyet (2011),which he not only directed but also scripted.
His first feature-length film, Sen Ben Lenin, was a collaborative effort with Baris Bicakci, produced by Istanbul Digital Film and Yapim-eki.
Tastan's literary endeavors include co-authoring the book Sen Ben Lenin with Baris Bicakci, which was published by Ithaki Publications under the title "Bir Hikaye, Iki Senaryo, Bir Film".
