Tony Fields, a talented individual, took the last name Fields from his stepfather Max. At the tender age of four, his parents went their separate ways, leading to a significant change in his life. Born in Stafford, Kansas, Tony's journey took a turn when he relocated to Davis, California, where his passion for gymnastics first began to take shape.
As his interest in gymnastics waned, Tony discovered his true calling in dance training. He won scholarships to the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts, where he honed his skills in drama and voice, as well as the Roland Dupree Academy of Dance. This marked the beginning of his illustrious career in the entertainment industry.
Tony's big break came when he started touring with the renowned Debbie Reynolds in her nightclub act, mere months after commencing his training at Dupree. When he joined Solid Gold, he had already received two years of formal training. Throughout his career, Tony appeared in numerous music videos, including Michael Jackson's iconic "Beat It" and "Thriller," as well as the "Making of Thriller" special.
He also made appearances in Lionel Richie's "Running with the Night" music video and was featured in the Solid Gold dancer's home exercise video, "The Solid Gold 5 Day Workout." Tony's impressive resume includes TV appearances in "Lil Abner," "Bobby Vinton Rock and Rollers," and "The John Davidson Christmas Special."
