Temi, a multifaceted creative entrepreneur, hails from Akowonjo, Lagos, Nigeria, where she was born and bred. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Theatre Arts from the Department of Creative Arts, Faculty of Arts, University of Lagos, which she obtained in 2018.
In addition to her undergraduate degree, Temi has also earned a Master's degree in Anthropology and Ethnochoreology of Dance and Intangible Cultural Heritage from the Choreomundus: International Master in Dance Knowledge, Practice and Heritage program. This prestigious program is a consortium of several renowned universities, including Université Clermont Auvergne (UCA) France, University Of Szeged (SZTE) Hungary, Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU),and the University of Roehampton, London (UOR),which she attended through the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree scholarship scheme. She successfully completed her Master's degree in 2023.
Temi is a culture enthusiast with a wide range of creative talents, including acting, voice-over artistry, costume design, performance art, and dance research. She is the Creative Director at New Wine Studios, where she produces experimental and ethnographic films.
As a seasoned actor, Temi has appeared on stage, screen, and television. Her impressive resume includes a notable achievement as the first Nigerian actress to win a prize at the prestigious Pan African Film and Television Festival of Ouagadougou (FESPACO). In 2021, she received the FESPACO award for Best Young Actor from West Africa for her role in the feature film "Eyimofe: This is my Desire," directed by Arie and Chuko Esiri. The film premiered at the 70th Berlinale in Berlin, Germany, in February 2020, and went on to participate in several international film festivals, winning numerous awards. The film also had a global cinema run.
Temi's talent and dedication have earned her a nomination for The Future Awards Prize for Acting in 2021. With nine years of experience and practice, she currently serves as the Chief Creative Officer at Unteamed Nigeria, a craft and costuming company she founded for stage, film, TV, music videos, commercials, and animated character costumes.
