Ohgo began her acting career in the year 2000, at the tender age of seven, when she joined the prestigious Sunflower (Himawari),a renowned theatrical company in Japan. Her debut with the company took place at the Meiji-za, where she starred in the production of Story of a National Thief.
Fast forward to early 2005, Ohgo made her major film debut in Kita No Zeronen (北の零年),a critically acclaimed film directed by Isao Yukisada, alongside the talented Ken Watanabe. In this film, she played the role of Tae Komatsubara, a character that showcased her impressive acting skills.
Later that year, Ohgo made her Hollywood debut in Memoirs of a Geisha, directed by the acclaimed director Rob Marshall. In this film, she played the role of Sakamoto Chiyo, the child version of the main protagonist Nitta Sayuri, portrayed by the talented Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi. Her performance in this film earned her the Japan Film Critics Award for Best Newcomer, a testament to her exceptional talent.
In 2006, Ohgo starred in Baruto no Gakuen (バルトの楽園),a film set during World War I, where she played a girl of mixed German-Japanese heritage who embarks on a journey to find her German father, who may be held captive in the war-torn country.
Ohgo's voice acting career also took off in 2008, when she lent her voice to the character Hana (also known as "Hatchin") in the anime series Michiko to Hatchin. She also provided the voice of Kaita in Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box.
Throughout her career, Ohgo has worked with various companies, including CATARMAN, where she remained employed until 2013.
