Stephen Harper

Stephen Joseph Harper, a prominent Canadian politician, entered the world on April 30, 1959, and went on to hold the esteemed position of the 22nd prime minister of Canada, governing from 2006 to 2015. Notably, Harper held the distinction of being the longest-serving prime minister from a right-of-centre party since the inception of John A. Macdonald, a Canadian statesman and first prime minister of Canada. Additionally, Harper holds the unique title of being the first and only prime minister to hail from the modern-day Conservative Party of Canada, serving as the party's inaugural leader from 2004 to 2015.
