Selman Nacar, a multifaceted filmmaker, boasts an impressive educational background, having earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in Directing from the prestigious Columbia University, situated in the heart of New York City.
Prior to pursuing his passion for filmmaking, Nacar graduated from Istanbul Bilgi University's Faculty of Law in 2015, followed by his graduation from the Faculty of Film in 2016.
As a testament to his remarkable talent, Nacar was selected as an alumnus of the Berlinale Talent 2019 and First Films First 2020, a distinction that highlights his exceptional abilities in the film industry.
Furthermore, Nacar is the founder of Kuyu Film, a production company that has brought to life two remarkable films: THE PILLAR OF SALT (2018) and BELONGING (2019),both of which premiered at the esteemed Berlin Film Festival Forum Section.
