Saša Gedeon, a Czech filmmaker of immense talent, was born on the twenty-ninth of August in the year 1970. His career in the world of cinema began to take shape as he graduated from the prestigious Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague in the year 1995.

That same year, Gedeon's remarkable film, Indiánské léto, garnered him the esteemed Findling Award at the Cottbus Film Festival. This achievement marked the beginning of a long and illustrious career, replete with numerous accolades and recognition.

In the year 1999, Gedeon's film, Návrat idiota, received widespread acclaim and earned him the International Jury Award at the São Paulo International Film Festival. Additionally, this film won him several Czech Lion Awards, solidifying his position as a prominent figure in the world of Czech cinema.
