Following her education at the prestigious Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts, where she earned a Bachelor's Degree in 1985, El Tokhi's professional journey began to take shape. Initially, she worked as a writer, honing her craft before transitioning to a role at the Institute of National Culture in 1995.
El Tokhi's acting career commenced in 1979 with a television serial, aptly titled The Researcher, showcasing her talent to the world. Although trained as a stage actress, El Tokhi's on-screen presence was limited to a single play, The Drunken Days, in 1999.
