Romanna Lobach's journey in the film industry began at a remarkably young age, with her first acting roles in films at just 11 years old. By 2013, she had already completed her Bachelor of Arts in acting from the esteemed Athens Conservatoire Drama School. Since then, she has been a prolific performer, appearing in over 25 feature films and shorts that have premiered at renowned festivals worldwide, including the prestigious Cannes, Venice, Rotterdam, and New York Film Festivals.
Romanna's impressive body of work has garnered numerous awards and accolades at festivals in Greece and abroad, with standout projects such as Olla (2019),I don't want to forget anything (2021),and March 4 (2015). Her extensive experience in the industry has been shaped by her time at the McCann advertising agency, where she honed her skills as a copywriter, as well as her work with various production companies in a range of roles.
In 2018, Romanna took the leap and founded AKRAN Creative Company, a boutique production house where she serves as producer and creative director. With a keen eye for emerging talent, she has been developing multiple projects with bold and unique voices. Over the past two years, she has attended and participated in several prominent industry events, including the European Short Pitch, Torino Short Film Market, Brussels Co-Production Forum, and Crossroads Co-Production Forum at Thessaloniki IFF, showcasing her projects in development.
Romanna's impressive output has seen her complete nine films in just two years, with her latest collaboration, Midnight Skin, premiering at the 62nd Semaine de la Critique in Cannes 2023. Her achievements have earned her a spot as an alumna of Berlinale and Sarajevo Talents, Locarno Industry Days, and New Producers Room in Cannes Court Métrage. Furthermore, she has been recognized as a spotlit producer at Marche du Film 2023 and is an active member of the Hellenic Film Academy and Hellenic Producer's Association.
