Paul Wu, a talented director with a dual certification from the Directors Guild of America (DGA) and the Directors Guild of Canada (DGC),is based in Vancouver, Canada, and has spent nearly three decades honing his craft in the film industry.
Initially, Wu's career began in front of the camera, where he worked as an actor and stunt performer, before transitioning behind the camera to become a fight choreographer, stunt coordinator, and ultimately, a director.
Throughout his career, Wu has directed a diverse range of projects, including two episodes of the documentary series "Quest out West: Wild Food" for APTN, as well as episodes of the popular television show "Charmed" for CBS/CW. Additionally, he has directed the "Wild Things" promo video for the BC Lions.
Wu's unique ability to choreograph and shoot stylized action sequences while emphasizing character development and storytelling has allowed him to stand out in the industry. His extensive experience as the Head of the Stunt Department has also instilled in him a strong appreciation for meticulous preparation (PREP) and a collaborative approach with both cast and crew.
As a seasoned director, Wu is now seeking opportunities to direct more episodic television, particularly in the genres of action, drama, science fiction, and fantasy.
