María Francisca Gabaldón Serer was born on May 10, 1949, in Barcelona, Spain. Her early life was marked by a series of moves to various countries, including Turkey, Italy, Argentina, Chile, and Peru. During these travels, she began her artistic training, studying Drama, diction, and singing.
It was in Peru where she made her on-screen debut in the film "Ganarás el pan". After returning to Spain in 1967, she began working at Televisión española as a presenter, using the stage name Mary Francis. She was in a seven-year relationship with Enrique Martí Maqueda, who helped her launch her television career.
Gabaldón Serer soon transitioned to film, appearing in numerous lighthearted comedies. Her cinematic career developed with roles in smaller films, often playing a modern and seductive woman. Between 1976 and 1977, she returned to television to co-host the program "625 líneas" with José Antonio Plaza, followed by "300 millones" in 1978, alongside Kiko Ledgard.
