As the proud owner of Orpro Studios, she brings her expertise to the production of captivating 2D character animation and motion graphics.
Born in Calgary, Alberta, Oshini's journey began with formal training in dance at the esteemed Ailey School and Dance Theatre of Harlem School in New York. Her impressive skills earned her the prestigious Queen's Golden Jubilee Award in the performing arts, bestowed upon her by the province of Alberta in 2011.
Following her successful dance career, Oshini expanded her creative horizons by studying animation at Seneca College in Toronto. Her remarkable talent has led to collaborations with renowned brands such as Disney and Netflix, as well as video games, short films, and original feature films by HighballTV.
In addition to her impressive animation portfolio, Oshini has also made a name for herself as a filmmaker. She wrote and directed the critically acclaimed short film, What I Meant To Say, which won the Best Short award at the CineFAM Film Festival in 2021.
Oshini's upcoming project, the one-woman show Brown People Can't Be Ballerinas, is set to premiere at the Mississauga Multilingual Fringe Festival in August 2023. When not working on her various creative endeavors, Oshini dedicates her time to arts education and community theatre productions, leaving a lasting impact on the world around her.
