Orri Páll Dýrason, a skilled and accomplished drummer, has had the distinct privilege of serving as the rhythmic backbone for the renowned Icelandic post-rock band Sigur Rós since 1999. His tenure with the group commenced shortly after the completion of the critically acclaimed studio album Ágætis byrjun, which was recorded by the band's previous drummer, Ágúst Ævar Gunnarsson, before his departure from the band.
