Neerja, a talented British actress, hails from a prestigious educational background, having graduated from Cambridge University and later trained at the renowned Drama Centre London.
Her most recent accolade includes winning the Best Actress award at the C-Fem Fantastic Film Festival Murcia in Spain for her captivating performance as Annji in the feature film AWAIT FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS, directed by the accomplished Johnny Kevorkian.
Prior to this, Neerja impressed audiences with her portrayal of Anita, a survivor of trafficking, in the critically acclaimed film SOLD, which was a Best of Festival pick at the Palm Springs International Film Festival. Directed by Jeffrey Brown, SOLD showcases Neerja's versatility as an actress.
In addition to her film work, Neerja has also made a mark on television, with guest leads in the BBC's Casualty and Doctors. Her theatre credits are equally impressive, having played the role of Hermia in A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM to great critical acclaim, directed by the esteemed Sir Trevor Nunn. This production was particularly notable, as it marked the completion of Sir Trevor's directorial canon of all 37 of Shakespeare's plays, just in time for the 400-year celebrations.
Neerja has also had the privilege of making her debut at Shakespeare's Globe, where she played the title character of THE CAPTIVE QUEEN. Furthermore, she was invited to participate in Peter Brook's workshops for THE PRISONER at The National Theatre Studio and worked under the direction of Kathryn Hunter in the play UNTOUCHABLE, in which she portrayed the freedom fighter Deorao.
Her feature film credits include LIFE GOES ON, in which she shared the screen with Bollywood veterans Om Puri and Sharmila Tagore, and HACKNEY'S FINEST, where she played the female lead Pari, an Afghan biker chick, directed by Chris Bouchard.
