Noted Korean actress, born in the year 1927, in the small town of Sonchon, which is now located in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, also known as North Korea. After completing her secondary education at an all-female high school in 1947, she ventured into the world of theater, marking the beginning of her illustrious acting career.
Later, in 1952, she made her cinematic debut in the film "악야" (The Evil Night),a movie directed by the renowned Korean filmmaker, Shin Sang-ok.
