Michael Paul Shaw, an American professional wrestler, was renowned for his stints in World Championship Wrestling (WCW) as Norman the Lunatic and in WWE as Bastion Booger. Shaw's wrestling career was marked by a notable feud with Bam Bam Bigelow, which commenced after he "fell in love" with Bigelow's valet, Luna Vachon.
During his time in WWE, Shaw's character, Bastion Booger, was known for his eccentric behavior and unsightly physical appearance, which was often used for comedic effect. One notable incident occurred on the January 3, 1994 episode of Monday Night Raw, when Booger kissed Vachon, prompting Bigelow to become enraged. The two wrestlers faced each other the following week, with Bigelow emerging victorious after Vachon distracted Booger by blowing him kisses.
Shaw was scheduled to participate in the 1994 Royal Rumble match but failed to appear, citing overeating and subsequent illness as the reason. He went on to lose his final match on WWE TV to Koko B. Ware in April 1994 and departed the organization in August 1994.
In a surprise return, Shaw reappeared as Bastion Booger during the WWE Raw 15th anniversary special on December 10, 2007. Triple H jokingly suggested that Big Dick Johnson, another character with an unsightly physical appearance, was Booger's son.
In his later years, Shaw worked for various independent promotions and trained several wrestlers in Saginaw, Michigan. His final match took place on July 24, 2009, in Paramus, New Jersey, where he lost to Prince Akkanatan.
In recognition of his contributions to professional wrestling, Jakks Pacific included Bastion Booger in the Classic Superstars line, series 25.
