Melvin Sia is a multifaceted Malaysian Chinese performer, whose talents extend beyond the realm of acting to encompass modeling and singing. He has garnered numerous accolades for his outstanding performances, including the prestigious Best Actor Award at the inaugural Malaysia Golden Awards for his captivating portrayal in the 2009 film "Romantic Delicacies". Furthermore, he was honored with the Most Popular Actor in Viewers' Choice category at the same esteemed award show.
Prior to his foray into the entertainment industry, Sia pursued a degree in architecture at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. However, his true calling lay in the world of showbiz, and he subsequently joined the Malaysian regional edition of Star Search 2003, ultimately finishing in the top 6. This marked the beginning of his illustrious career, which has since seen him star in a plethora of telemovies and make his Singapore cinema debut in the 2012 film "Dance Dance Dragon", opposite seasoned actors Adrian Pang, Dennis Chew, and Kym Ng.
