Matteo Zoppis, a talented Italian-American filmmaker, was born in 1986 in Italy. With a strong passion for the creative arts, he initially pursued a degree in Law, but his true calling lay in the world of filmmaking. He made the bold decision to relocate to New York City, where he enrolled at the prestigious New York University School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS) to hone his skills in directing.
Fast-forward to the present, and Matteo now calls Berlin his home, where he collaborates with his close friend and fellow filmmaker, Alessio Rigo de Righi. Throughout his illustrious career, he has directed a plethora of captivating projects, including the critically acclaimed short films "All Tears Drop" (2010),"My Wildest Dark" (2011),and "The Falconer" (2012).
In addition to his work in the realm of fiction, Matteo has also ventured into documentary filmmaking, co-directing the thought-provoking short documentary "Black Beast" (2013) and the documentary feature "Il solengo" (2015). His most recent collaborative effort, the film "Re granchio" (2021),further solidifies his reputation as a masterful filmmaker.
