Mark Andrews is a talented and accomplished individual, currently employed by Pixar Animation Studios. His impressive resume boasts a range of impressive credits, including serving as the story supervisor for the critically acclaimed film, The Incredibles. Additionally, he directed the captivating short film, One Man Band, and co-wrote the equally impressive short films, Jack-Jack Attack and One Man Band.
Andrews' passion for animation began during his studies at the prestigious Character Animation Program at California Institute of the Arts (CalArts). He is also widely regarded as the trusted "right-hand man" of renowned director, Brad Bird. In fact, some of his student films have been featured in the esteemed Museum of Modern Art's (MOMA) exhibition, TOMORROWLAND: CalArts in Moving Pictures.
Interestingly, Andrews is not a fan of Disney films, a departure from many of his fellow CalArts alumni. Instead, he has expressed admiration for a range of other animated series and films, including Kimba the White Lion, Speed Racer, and Robotech.
In a remarkable display of family involvement, Andrews is the proud father of Maeve Andrews, who lent her voice talents to the role of Jack-Jack Parr in The Incredibles.
Andrews has also made a significant impact on the world of animation, having replaced Brenda Chapman as the director of the highly anticipated Pixar feature film, Brave.
